Some studies have shown that it takes 21 days to set a new habit. Others claim it may take a bit longer. I can tell you that 60 days is long enough to set an addiction — at least it did for me related to writing.
The day before yesterday, I wrote my post very early in the morning. By dinner, I really wanted to write again.
I once read a quote that said the best way to get rolling with writing is to simply start. I am finding that to be true. It’s as if the pump is already primed when I sit down, now that writing is part of my daily routine.
The writing challenge is helping me build consistency. Now, what I need is time. Hopefully, I will find more of that soon. For now, I am happy to have reached Day 60.
