Can I tell you a secret? I love the spring time change.
I know! I know! Most everyone else hates losing the hour of sleep. And while I do miss the hour, my body and mind just seem to work so much better on this time. I got up early this morning, read my Bible and had my quiet time, scheduled Tweets for the Pink Typewriter Project, got ready, and even went by the store on the way to Sunday School. We had a great morning at church and then a nice lunch, and I’ve written a blog post for this week, and as of 3 p.m. I haven’t even had a Sunday afternoon nap — although typing that last part of this sentence did make me yawn. 🙂
There’s something hopeful to me about spring time and springing forward that helps me feel more optimistic. Song of Solomon 2:11-12 says, “For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
I know we’re still a week away from the official start of Spring, but my heart has sprung forward today.
I like what that verse said, “The time of singing is here.” Let’s go sing.
