Tonight I had the privilege of taking part in our WMU spring inspirational meeting. I have to admit that it was hard to get there. My late afternoon seemed designed to make me tired and make me feel blue. It made me want to come home and sit.
Do you know why that happened? Because Satan wanted to rob me of a blessing.
He wanted to keep me from hearing our local youth choir sing praises to God.
He wanted me to miss the young ladies who did a great skit about missions.
He wanted me to not hear how God is working to reach people in Germany and Northern Italy.
He wanted me to miss fellowship with wonderful ladies and to miss the opportunity to ask for their prayers.
He wanted to really mess up my day.
And I’m glad I didn’t give in to the darkness. I am thankful for the wonderful evening I got to be part of and the wonderful Savior we worship.
Song of Solomon 2:11-12 says “for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
Let’s sing praise to God for He worthy!
