One of the best parts of my job is getting to interact with our amazing students and to watch them use their talents in so many diverse ways. I spent a large portion of today taking photographs, of successful business and Christian studies students and talented dancers.
It was a day of celebrating the hard work of an academic year and the rapidly approaching end of the semester.
But my absolute favorite moment of the day was watching my fabulous friend, the extraordinarily talented Ms. Shell M. Benjamin gather her dancers into a circle and pray God’s blessing over them.
As a reminder, she gave each one of them a tiny mustard seed sealed in a card that told them that that’s all the faith God asks of them–of us. Just the tiniest speck of faith allows our amazingly wonderful, all powerful God to work in us.
Shell was kind enough to give a mustard seed to me as well, and I cherish the reminder of how great God is and the memory of a very good day.
