Artistry #366Days Day 169

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately about the difference between a snapshot and a photograph. What moves a piece of writing from a note, a scribbling, a jotting down to a poem, an essay, or a story? Is there some magical moment where the gliding of the pen on the page, the tapping of fingers on a keyboard or the clicking of a finger on a shutter move from an action to an act of artistry. How do we as writers, photographers, artists find that place and learn to dwell there?

I’ve started practicing guitar exercises meant to strengthen the fingers. What exercises strengthen the mind, the writing muscle, the photographer’s eye?
