As I mentioned yesterday, our little town got hit by a pretty bad storm. The microburst with its hail and heavy rains left quite a bit of debris in the form of downed trees and limbs.
The city workers put in long hours working until early this morning and coming out again just a few hours later. They got a boost from the staffs of our county and neighboring town who offered to bring their equipment and crews and help with the cleanup.
That right there is what I love about our community.
Neighbors helping neighbors. That might be the person right next door or the town nearby. It’s a great way of life though. And one that makes me both proud and grateful.
