My office door should have a sign that says Gone Fishin’.
While I’m sure I won’t actually use a fishing pole, I am very excited about my upcoming week of vacation. I looked up the meaning of the word, and Webster’s says it’s an extended period of recreation. That sounds about right.
I’m looking forward to a little slower pace and to seeing a few new sights. And to resting.
Today, I worked hard to get as many things done as I could and made a list of all that will be waiting for me when I return to work. And then I broke out in hives. There are only a few — on my face and back, but I’m working on calming down and embracing the calmer rhythm of vacation.
They’ll be plenty of time to tackle that to-do list after I return.
