I have officially finished a work week when I wore dresses everyday. The extra push from feeling pretty helped me be productive in the face of an ever-growing to-do list.
Today, though, I’m sporting the latest in fashion accessories: a bandaid on my toe to protect the spot that’s been rubbed raw. See, those dresses came with girl shoes. And girl shoes often lead to various forms of pain. A blister here, a pinched toe there, an aching heel–unfortunately it’s par for the course.
Yesterday I met a friend for lunch and he said (as I grumbled about the offending shoe), “I’ll never understand you women and your shoes.”
I laughed and answered as he expected, “But they’re pretty.”
But now that I’m home with my shoes off and feet propped up, I have to wonder, “What’s up with that?” 🙂
