My Facebook page reminded me this morning that today is the third anniversary of my graduation from my doctoral program. The very first thought that went through my mind was “And I still haven’t gotten my diploma framed!”
Quickly on the heels of that thought was, “Wow. Three years!”
It really does seem like yesterday or maybe last month, but not three whole years. And then I realized Larry and I just celebrated 22 years of marriage, which — although he might disagree — really doesn’t seem that long ago.
We lost a dear friend last week rather suddenly and my sister lost another this week. It’s a reminder of how quickly time passes and how thankful we should be for each moment we have with our loved ones.
Call up your friends. Visit family. Hug your loved ones. Time will go quickly whether we do these things or not. The difference will be in the regret we feel.
