Olympic Rush #366Days Day 246

I’m at my WMU meeting at the Mexican restaurant a bit early and all of the televisions I can see are on the Olympics. I couldn’t be happier.

I love the Olympics.

I love the stories of the 41-year-old gymnast who’s competing in her seventh games. I love those new kids who are so overcome with emotion just to have made it to the world stage. I love rooting for some swimmer I’ve never heard of because she’s doing an amazing job.

I love hearing stories of triumph not just in competition but over rough starts in life and over sickness or over heartache.

I love the hope, the endurance, the commitment, the strength, and the beauty of seeing all the peoples of the world who were made in the image of God.

So, go World. I’ll be cheering you on. And of course, Go USA. 🇺🇸
