Reliving My Childhood #366Days Day 361

I’ve mentioned my recent return to That Girl reruns. The storylines are often predictable (probably because I’ve seen them several times before!) but it’s fun to see who will show up as guest stars each time. Yesterday, it was Terri Garr and Rob Reiner. The day before there was a hotel desk clerk who looked familiar, and when I took a second look, I exclaimed “That’s Mr. Whipple!” Sure enough. He was just a few years younger than the man I remember squeezing Charmin when I was a kid.

Today I feel like the 70s have invaded my diet. I’ve been making smoothies for breakfast for a week now, and have researched some things to add to get boosts in antioxidants and nutrition. This morning, along with a bit of cottage cheese and some kale leaves, I added chia seeds. It was 6:30 in the morning, and I was standing in my kitchen singing “ch…ch…ch…chia.”

I’m not sure what benefits I’ll get from the seeds, but they’ve already brought a smile to my face (and hopefully yours). Surely that counts for something. (And sorry for calling you Shirley.)
