It’s January 4, and this is officially my first work day of the new year. And, you know what?
I am truly looking forward to going back to work.
Don’t get me wrong! I have definitely enjoyed my time off, but I refuse to grumble and groan because it is time to return to my normal routine. I return to work gladly with a thankful heart.
First, I have received a rich blessing through the time I have had off at the end of the year. I don’t want my response to that to be ungratefulness.
Second, I am blessed to have a job I love, doing something I enjoy doing, and working in a place that seeks to honor God. I am excited about what is in store for 2016 and ready to use my talents in my professional responsibilities.
Third, I realize how blessed Larry and I are to have good jobs where we are able to grow and flourish and that provide for us.
Today I claim Colossians 3:23 as my verse for the day: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Let’s get to it!
