About that Doughnut #366Days Day 115

Well, I finally did it. I went by the new Krispy Kreme that opened a few weeks ago.

The traffic at that place has been off the charts. It’s finally stopped spilling into Turner-McCall (most of the time!), no longer consistently impeding my ability to get home. But every time I drive by, I check the drive thru to see if maybe, just maybe this might be the day.

But there’s always something pressing to do. Getting to work or church or home, rushing here, there, everywhere.

Today, though, I had the morning off to take my mom to a doctor’s appointment. Our reward for successfully navigating the visit and an errand or two was a trip through that much-watched drive thru.

And let me tell you — that was one good doughnut. Or two. 🙂

It was soft and sugary. It was definitely worth the wait.

In fact, I think it made my whole day a little sweeter.

  2. Oh, I’m so glad you and Barbara had a “sweet” time together!! I haven’t made it by there, but definitely will soon, There was a Krispy Kreme in Riverdale right down the road from my first apartment. It was very tempting seeing the “HOT DOUGHNUTS NOW” sign while running errands. That is an excellent marketing device!! How can you not stop!!!
