I think I mentioned that I’m on vacation this week. I started my Monday off by packing a bag and heading into the Big City for a tour at Georgia Public Broadcasting and then lunch with my colleague and friend, Carol Danford.
Over fish, shrimp and oyster tacos, we talked about life, PR, and writing — and possible future partnerships between our various work roles.
I first met Carol quite a few years ago when we worked together on an Antiques Roadshow sponsorship when I worked at Berry. We’ve kept in touch over the years through brief visits, phone chats and social media.
But I truly enjoyed our time to get to reconnect. I’ve always admired Carol’s friendliness, intelligence and enthusiasm for her job and the partners with whom she works.
My work in PR (public relations, not Puerto Rico — just to be clear) has allowed me to build some amazing connections and I’m so grateful for them.
More fun tomorrow…
Sounds like a perfect start to a wonderful week!
It is. I’m also about a third of the way through my second complete book of the week (reading!). Here’s to literacy!
So glad you are enjoying your time. Refresh and renew!!
Thanks!!! I am.
Every day is a holiday and every meal a banquet. Enjoy your time off.
True words!! Thanks. I will. 🙂
