Today’s a rare Sunday when we don’t have evening services. Larry typically leaves about 4 or 4:30 on Sunday afternoons to take care of errands and get a few things squared away at church.
Today, we did something else square. We played Scrabble. From square game board to square tiles, we had a fun little challenge. We weren’t sticklers for the rules; a proper name snuck in along with an abbreviation or two, but the point is we had fun together. And that’s what playing a game together is all about.
So much of the time, life tells us it’s all about winning or losing, but our day was about togetherness. And that’s way better than winning.
Well, I gotta run. We’re going to watch a movie.
