Larry and I watched the national news and saw coverage about a study that has found pasta doesn’t necessarily make you fat.
The study was conducted in Italy, and the news anchor was quick to point out that the Italians enjoy pasta as a side dish and with other foods that make up a healthy Mediterranian diet.
I come from a place — the South — that counts macaroni and cheese as a vegetable and rarely can’t improve on a food by frying it up whether it’s chicken, squash or Oreos.
I’m sure no self-respecting researchers would find health benefits in our food. But good for the Italians.
Mangiamo!
How funny that both our blog posts today talk about fried food and specifically fried Oreos! Great minds think alike! Or is it great stomachs? LOL! 🙂
