My Blue Typewriter #366Days Day 119

April 2, 2016 1 Comment

Most of you know my friend Dana and I are working together on The Pink Typewriter Project, a blog we hope to use to make a positive difference in the world. I have a friend who jokes he’s going to start a Blue Typewriter Project to spread cynicism and sarcasm. He’s teasing us, of course — […]

I’m how old? #366Days Day 117

March 31, 2016 1 Comment

I woke up yesterday with this crazy ache deep inside my hip. My first thought was “How old am I?” Fortunately, today there’s a bruise starting to form so I’m pretty sure I must have banged said achy hip into something. But my week has been filled with a few such moments seemingly designed to point […]

Yellow Haze #366Days Day 116

March 30, 2016 Leave a comment

Georgia in the springtime. Here, the slightest breeze whirls a cloud of pollen across any open spaces. On Sunday, we had a heavy, cleansing rain, and the world virtually sparkled on Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, though, that familiar yellow haze was back. My windshield, cleaned just that day, had a not-so-thin coating. The windshield […]

About that Doughnut #366Days Day 115

March 29, 2016 6 Comments

Well, I finally did it. I went by the new Krispy Kreme that opened a few weeks ago. The traffic at that place has been off the charts. It’s finally stopped spilling into Turner-McCall (most of the time!), no longer consistently impeding my ability to get home. But every time I drive by, I check […]

Absolutely Stunning #366Days Day 114

March 28, 2016 1 Comment

We had a good rain yesterday, steady and soaking, washing the pollen from my car and watering the plants that are so vibrantly bursting forth. The rain has moved out and left these wonderfully clean skies that, as I was driving this morning, had just the tiniest smattering of clouds. The grass is wet and green; the […]

My #366Days Writing Challenge

In 2015-2016, I completed a personal journey to blog every day for 366 days (thanks Leap Year!). That journey helped me realize more fully how God wants to use my writing talents for His glory. I'm still learning, but am excited to offer my words to be used by Him.

Dawn is…

a Christ-follower, who is lucky enough to use my talents as a writer. I’m a full-time PR professional with more than 23 years’ experience who does freelance writing, editing, graphic design, and photography, too!
