Dyeing #366Days Day 112

March 26, 2016 2 Comments

Tomorrow is Easter, and I have to admit it was hard for me not to buy a box of the little tablets we used to use to dye Easter eggs. I saw them there, near the eggs in the aisle at Kroger, and gave them a second glance before hurrying to catch up with Larry to […]

& Feeling Green #366Days Day 103

March 17, 2016 2 Comments

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya, and a very happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Larry and I were fortunate enough to visit Ireland two years ago to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We fell in love with the rolling hills and amazing greenness of the land, the whole of which felt simply magical. It’s no wonder the […]

Grateful #366Days Day 74

February 17, 2016 4 Comments

This afternoon, I had the privilege of warming up the van for Daddy’s trip across the street as he made his way home from the hospital. Mother mentioned earlier in the week that she’d made several trips back and forth from home before her odometer finally turned over one mile. We were literally that […]

February 14, 2016 Leave a comment

It occurred to me recently that one of the drawbacks of the digital age is that hardly anybody writes letters anymore. Larry and I have been to countless museums over the years, and I’m always fascinated by how much you can learn about people’s lives through the letters they wrote. Letters are often a major […]

Paint by Numbers #366Days Day 61

February 4, 2016 1 Comment

It’s 2:36 am, and my pledge to stay awake all night at the hospital is being tested. I did go to sleep once and slept an hour or so — at least that’s what I thought. According to my phone it was only about 7 minutes.  Those 7 minutes, paired with 23 others, added up […]

My #366Days Writing Challenge

In 2015-2016, I completed a personal journey to blog every day for 366 days (thanks Leap Year!). That journey helped me realize more fully how God wants to use my writing talents for His glory. I'm still learning, but am excited to offer my words to be used by Him.

Dawn is…

a Christ-follower, who is lucky enough to use my talents as a writer. I’m a full-time PR professional with more than 23 years’ experience who does freelance writing, editing, graphic design, and photography, too!
