Mourning a Mockingbird #366Days Day 76

February 19, 2016 Leave a comment

Scrolling through Facebook this morning, I was saddened to see the news about Harper Lee’s death. Her famous book, To Kill a Mockingbird,  was published just under 10 years before I was born, so I’ve never known a world that hadn’t been influenced by Atticus and Scout. I have no idea when I first saw Gregory Peck […]

Contemplation #366Days Day 70

February 13, 2016 Leave a comment

Larry and I visited the Tellus Museum a while ago with our friends Bobby and Wendy. The Tellus had this amazing display of rocks and minerals. I stood for the longest time, running my eyes back and forth over the surfaces, noting the texture with my mind even though my fingers were kept at bay […]

The Mind at Play #366Days Day 63

February 6, 2016 2 Comments

Not long after Larry and I married, I taught the two year olds in Sunday School. One of our most favorite activities — especially when tears came out — was pulling out the bubbles. The kids would run around the room, trying their best to catch the translucent spheres. High-pitched squeals of delight replaced the […]

Math & Life #366Days Day 52

January 26, 2016 5 Comments

Every day when I log in to write my blog, WordPress asks me to prove my humanity by solving a math problem. It’s nothing hard — 2 + 0 having caused the most thought of late, but I have to admit that I have wondered once or twice if I should occasionally miss the answer […]

I needed this #366Days Day 17

December 22, 2015 6 Comments

It’s the second day of my Christmas break, and I was up and at the computer by 5:45 a.m. I’ve finished my Pink Typewriter Post for tomorrow and am now ready to tackle my #366Days writing for today. You know what? That’s all because of you. See, I woke up so early because Larry has […]

My #366Days Writing Challenge

In 2015-2016, I completed a personal journey to blog every day for 366 days (thanks Leap Year!). That journey helped me realize more fully how God wants to use my writing talents for His glory. I'm still learning, but am excited to offer my words to be used by Him.

Dawn is…

a Christ-follower, who is lucky enough to use my talents as a writer. I’m a full-time PR professional with more than 23 years’ experience who does freelance writing, editing, graphic design, and photography, too!
